If you desire to set-up a web store than there is no better way than making use of ecommerce website design. It is very easy and not expensive also. Through the medium of web store online product selling can be done and create a specific image around your ecommerce website. Such websites can be used to generate additional income for your business.

The ecommerce websites are designed in a manner that it can pursue the visitors to make online purchase by establishing positive reputation with the customers. Although it might seem simpler but to design an ecommerce website, web designer has to follow a number of selling principles.

Designing ecommerce site is different from regular website designing, as the color selection, design layout, etc has to be kept in consideration. Make it appealing, eye-catching and well-organized. You can also take a look at other successful ecommerce websites of your field and take idea about what features have contributed towards the online achievement.

When a prospective customer lands on the website, he/she should be able to navigate on the site easily. All internal links has to be well intact, else visitors going to another website increases. The overall shopping experience should be pleasing. Put adequate and satisfactory information on your website to establish long lasting trust.

These facts are not new and are known to all marketing experts but the challenge lies in converting those techniques into online marketing ones.

The same problem lies in web stores is to create the same drama, suspense and interest as in a physical store. The entire ecommerce website has to be in format that has a specific online links or paths to lead them to the final product of desire. But many times visitors may find a short cut to another page rather than what you intend to show them.

Selling any product or service through a web store is much more difficult in comparison to a physical shop or store. Well-designed ecommerce website can lead a customer to the desired page in maximum or one to two links. Having a sales letter in the website helps, here the link is generally the order form. The unique property of sales letter is they sell one product at a given point of time. Here the visitor would find all required information about the product in a presentable manner, with the facility to click on the order form at any given point of time. If not convinced completely the visitor may carry on reading more product details.

There are plenty of principles surrounding ecommerce website designing and creation, affected largely by the type of products/services you are dealing into.

Copyright

A recent Independent report has shown that London has become the defamation capital for the world of celebrates, there has also been a rise in defamation cases for us mere mortals and many aspects of the media has put this down those pesky no win no fee lawyers again. So as fame hungry celebrates continue on the quest for as much media attention as is humanly possible every day Joe public may suffer some form of defamation, what is the best cause of action for those who can’t afford a high priced lawyer and is a no win no fee service the best service to use in a defamation case.

Most no win no fee companies tend to focus mainly on the bread and butter slip and fall cases but many people out there need help with a possible defamation claim; can no win no fee lawyers take up the good fight?

Firstly how do you know if you have a defamation case, the best way to describe defamation is if a person has said (slander) something that could damage your reputation or something has been written (Liable) that could damage your reputation. Obviously liable is much easier to prove in court than slander, so if you have written proof of some kind you already have a far stronger case. There are also certain criteria a statement has to meet to be considered defamatory, these being:

The allegation damages your reputation in some way It is available to third parties, i.e. other people will be able to access the defamatory statement made about you. Your name is clearly identifiable in the statement; there no point saying something is going to damage your reputation if people don’t instantly link the statement to you. So if these criteria apply to you then you probably have a strong case, but are no win no fee lawyers the right people to take on your case. The first point to make clear is that if you are just looking for a public apology a no win no fee won’t take on your case, the thing to remember is with no win no fee lawyers is that they charge based on how much compensation you receive, if there’s no compensation to be received then they’re not going to make any money.

Not all no win no fee solicitors will take on defamation cases but there are few legal services that will be willing to represent you on a no win no fee basis, and if they believe you have a good strong case then they will be fighting over each other to represent you. So if someone in the media or workplace has made a statement that could damage your reputation a no win no fee lawyer may be the best option for those who can’t afford a high priced celebrity lawyer.

So as celebrities continue their fight against the tabloid media and there sometimes defamatory comment, the rest of us have to look for a more viable option than high priced lawyers who specialise in slander and liable cases. Despite what many may think about no win no fee lawyers they do offer a viable option for those who before would not be able to afford the legal fees. So if you believe you have a legitimate case then no win no fee could be perfect for you.

Sometimes color poster printing for business is turned inward instead of outward toward the market. That is right! A poster print can also be used internally for business internal relations.

This helps you to communicate and work with your employees more effectively. In this guide, I will teach you how to create your own internal relations posters, so that you yourself can benefit from their advantages. Let me start you off with the first initial step, identifying those key internal relations issues.

1. Identify key internal relations issues – The first step to creating is of course to set its goal. Of course, to set its goal, you will need to identify what key internal relations issues you want to deal with. Do you want to lift employee morale? Do you want to increase their productivity? Do you want to lift the reputation of your managers and of yourself as well? Do you want everyone to be proud of your company? It is important that you specify all these things to yourself so that you can really be accurate with your designing and printing. All other design decisions should be very easily made after this.

2. Develop promotional/advertising goals for those issues – Once you have identified the issue and the goal, the next part is to develop the specific advertising goal that will help you accomplish what you want with those internal relations issues. For example, if morale is the problem, then you will probably have an advertising goal of entertaining your employees, or making them feel good about themselves. If your internal relations issue were about uplifting the image of the management, then your advertising goal would be to paint management in a new light. By pinning this advertising goal exactly as well, you will have a better targeted design and message that should help you with your internal relations posters.

3. Brainstorm proper designs – With those issues and goals in mind, the next step is to brainstorm those designs. Start out with some basic concepts and just sketch out different design elements that you like to create. Try to draft a few key concepts and then remake those key concepts again a few times so that you can refine your ideas. In time, you should probably have a nice rough sketch of what your design for internal relations custom posters.

4. Collect design materials – With your rough sketch ready, you may then want to start really creating your digital design. Start out with collecting the important design materials. Write out your main content. Get and scan the proper photographs or create the needed graphics. Download any essential templates, fonts and plug-ins that you want for your design software. By preparing all the raw design materials before hand, you can make the main design process a little bit easier.

5. Create digital design – Once you are all ready with the materials, it is now time to start the digital design. Just use your poster template as a start for your design. Add in a background, your images and then the text content itself. Of course, practice your creativity here and develop something cool and original. Keep in mind though that you have to be clear with your internal relations message. Prioritize message delivery of course and then add in the creative tweaks.

6. Checking the design – Now, before you go all the way to printing, you might first want to check your designs. Many designers make the mistake in putting the design right into printing without a thorough proofreading. This causes major mistakes in the printing that could lead to wasted resources and time. So make sure that you proofread your work and check the designs and images. No mistake must be passed on.

7. Printing – Once all the checking is done, it is time to print. If you have the facilities at your office to print large sizes, then it is pretty cost efficient to just print it yourself. However, if you really want your internal relations posters to succeed, you might want to get some professional printing help. The best way to get this is through an online printing company. Just look for them over the internet and see which has the best prices and printing options on the table. Once you have chosen, the process is as simple as initiating the order, sending in your designs and just waiting for your professionally and impressively printed outputs to arrive at your office.

Once they arrive, you can then now deploy them to help you with your internal relations goals. The process should only take three days to a week if you are fast with your designs, and you can start correcting these internal business issues in no time at all.

You can learn all the techniques, tricks, and procedures of any and every aspect of business, but unless you understand quality, you will always be fighting an uphill battle.

The problem is not that quality is hard to understand, but that most small business owners pay it little attention. When they think about quality at all, either they think they know all they need to know about quality, or they think quality is not all that important: that “good enough” is good enough. They miss the rewards that come with establishing a reputation for quality.

For your own sake, pretend for a minute that maybe you might to some degree fall into this category, and read on.

Quality is about making things better. It is about doing things better, and improving results. In other words, quality is an ongoing action, not an achievement. No matter how good your business is doing, it can be doing better. This is the first and most important thing to know about quality. Whether your business is brand new or well-established, it can improve.

Improvement does not happen by chance. First must come the intention to improve, then the action needed to turn the intention into a reality.

Sometimes the action works as expected; sometimes it doesn’t and a different action is needed. As long as the intention remains intact, eventually the correct action will be found. How quickly an intention is turned into reality depends on how quickly the owner can recognize results and adjust his actions as necessary.

Why a struggling business owner would want to improve his business is obvious, but why would a successful business owner want to improve his business? Because other business owners are always competing with him, doing their best to take his customers and clients away. They are improving their quality, or lowering their prices, or advertising more.

A reputation for high quality leads to customer loyalty, even against lower prices. Panera Bread, for example, is expanding during a recession solely because of its deserved reputation for quality, even though competitors offer less expensive meals.

A reputation for high quality also leads to word-of-mouth advertising, the cheapest and most effective form of promotion outside of a viral internet campaign (which is actually just a form of word-of-mouth advertising).

Many small business owners believe that higher quality is more expensive to produce than “acceptable” quality, and that many customers can’t tell the difference and so won’t pay more for higher quality. The second idea is not entirely false, but it ignores the fact that many other customers CAN tell the difference and WILL pay more for higher quality.

As for higher quality being more expensive to produce, that idea is almost entirely false. While better raw materials and higher-skilled workers do cost more, that cost can be offset by higher volume of sales, and training your workers to higher standards. Learning how to reduce errors and waste (i.e., improving your business) will also keep costs down.

Quality alone is not a magic avenue to success, but when applied as an underlying business philosophy and intention, it comes pretty darn close. Applying the principles of quality to all aspects of your business (management, sales, production, accounting, customer service, etc.) will inevitably lead to expansion and a better bottom line.

The first step is to recognize that no business stays at the same level for long. It eventually either gets better and expands, or it contracts. The second step is to choose which way you want your business to go.

Quality doesn’t mean being perfect; quality only means constantly improving.

To have a strong and viable online presence people build websites. And every one of us know that a website can never remain up and running without a proper hosting in support! However, now a fantastic point has come up in choosing hosting services – dedicated Vs cloud computing. People are getting little confused! Which one is better for them? Should they go for dedicated service or it is best to use cloud on ‘pay for the usage only’.

Let us try to have a comparative look at the matter – dedicated Vs cloud server. Below I have tried to point out a few interesting facts that come in consideration when choosing cloud or the dedicated server for hosting a site:

The first point that comes in consideration in the discussion of dedicated Vs cloud computing is the time consumption in deploying the servers at service. Cloud servers are ready-made with so many options to choose according to needs. But dedicated ones need to be configured and that process surely takes time with high level of expertise. One of the most fuming points that people have to consider when trying to tally dedicated Vs cloud server is scalability between the two. Whether it is vertical (adding hardware) or the horizontal (adding network to balance the load) scaling cloud server is very much useful and can be scaled fast. But in dedicated servers the hosting service has to be down or new backup server creation takes time. The point on which people keep thinking is the reliability of dedicated Vs cloud. Sometimes it is found that the cloud servers are can not establish as the reliable one against the dedicated servers or the vice-versa. Actually it depends on reputation of the hosting service providers selected by the client. In the tussle of dedicated Vs cloud computing the service does matter. Sometimes dedicated servers are best as pressure on servers is less. But in clouds management tries best in providing highest level of service yet influx of huge visitors may create problem. Whereas in dedicated servers maximum root control remains on the client but in problem conditions service providers are found relaxing or unavailable too. In the matter of affordability cloud servers are far ahead of the dedicated servers. It is the reason for which cloud servers are winners in the fight dedicated Vs cloud. In cloud servers clients only pay for the usage of the hosting space and services. But in dedicated servers a certain amount of space and level of service are always bought, whether in use or not. It comes as loss of money and resource too.

So from the above point hopefully you have understand how the topic dedicated Vs cloud computing has become a real matter of debate and consideration when people think of hiring or buying the space for website hosting purposes. Both dedicated and the cloud hosting has their unique features for providing best hosting service. Actually it depends on the requirements of services. If the client wants to go for pay per usage, cloud is the best. On the other hand if you know the limit or the amount of space you require in future, go for dedicated hosting. Finally it is found that people are going for hybrid of the two to avoid confusion of dedicated Vs cloud computing and get top-level service.

Do you know what…with all the marketing techniques available to every small business owner, all the training, all the books and all the Gurus out there telling us what to do (and what not to do) to market our businesses; there is just one tiny problem that I have come across many times in my role as a Coach/Consultant at Resolution Coaching.

And it’s this

All the resources in the world, won’t overcome the fear of being in the spotlight, with all eyes on you.

It’s the one thing that I think actually prevents small business men and women, really get to grips with sales and marketing. They know what they should be doing, they understand the strategy, they recognise that they need to market themselves and logically that its really important.

But what do they do instead? They tip-toe around the edges, spend loads of time fine tuning certain aspects of their marketing (like their website, and their brochure or are obsessed with their business cards)…until it’s too late. I know one person who spent 3 years on their website before launching it!!

But I am convinced that if you’ve never been in sales before, have never had to sell yourself before – that it doesn’t matter how many resources are thrown at you, how many manuals, books or CD’s or MP3 downloads you have. The fear of stepping up, stepping out and putting yourself, your products and your reputation on the line (with no safety net of a big corporate to clean up after you by the way) – can be a massive hurdle to overcome for some people.

Why is this?

I was listening to a superb teleclass given by Steve Chandler of Club Fearless. He was answering a question sent in by a small business owner who wasn’t making any sales. They had a fabulous product, they loved what they did – but the fear of ‘getting out there’ was stalling their progress. They wanted to be successful – but it was such a big leap from being an inspired creative person – to turn themselves into a invincible, dynamic and fearless marketer who was prepared to throw themselves into the lions den to promote themselves, (and risk others saying that they hate their stuff).

So the answer to that challenge has to be in your own mind surely? I began to ask myself the question – what is the one thing that you need, to stand on the stage/sales platform with confidence (even if that platform is the phone, the seminar, or the networking lunch meeting)?

Isn’t sales like learning to swim, playing your first recorder solo at school, or reciting a poem in class? Some of us never ever get over that initial terror of being the one that everyone is looking at when it’s show time – Some people never have the guts to go for it. Whereas others just do it anyway, regardless of how scary it is. Some just keep having a go, until it gets easier, and easier and easier. They are prepared to make an arse of themselves in the process.

So, if that’s you and you’re sitting there with the realisation that “nobody’s coming” to rescue you and do your sales for you – what are your options? And when you think again “nobody’s going to even tell me the answer to that statement” – what do you do next?

Wait – you do have actually some options….what if you

Took one small action today to move yourself forward Did something big today to move yourself forward Found a friendly audience

I remember turning up to give a talk to find a tiny audience waiting for me – but then I thought “hey cool! I can practise for the really big gig, with this little audience – it all helps!”. Or the time when only one person turned up to my new networking group. I thought to myself “Hey – cool – I get to make all the mistakes tonight and only one person will know. Fantastic!”

So – if you’re thinking “It’s just me. Nobody’s coming”. Get over it and find the courage, borrow the strength, copy someone else’s strategy, pretend. Just find it from somewhere before it’s too late.

The recent controversy about Cherie Blair using a no win no fee firm for her libel case in the courts has highlighted what is perceived as the latest abuse of the system which was created to provide access to justice ten years ago. This article aims to highlight the relationship between no win no fee arrangements (otherwise known as conditional fee agreements) and defamation claims.

The main complaint about Cherie Blair using a conditional fee agreement in her specific case is that, as a relatively wealthy individual, she is in effect abusing the CFA system in order to force the magazine or newspaper into settling claims. Defamation/libel by its nature has always had the reputation of a tort that has been left to claimants who are wealthy as the cases often run into millions. The introduction of ‘no win, no fee’ agreements, or conditional fee agreements (CFAs), under the Conditional Fee Agreements Regulations 2000 enabled those who would otherwise be unable to fund the substantial costs involved in defamation claims to bring an action. In cases where a wealthy individual (especially a celebrity) takes a media defendant to court, these media defendants find themselves paying up to settle the claim rather than losing what could be a very large amount at trial. The criticism is that they are fenced into paying out because of this even when the claim against them may be frivolous.

Defamation essentially takes places where a false statement is made about a person (or a company) that damages their reputation. The statement can be either in a permanent form (libel) or a transient form (slander). A company also has a reputation and contrary to popular belief can also be defamed.

Another problem that often comes to fruition in defamation cases is the costs subsequent to proceedings. Under a CFA, lawyers are paid nothing if they lose, but are allowed to claim a ‘success fee’ in addition to their basic fee if they win because of the risk incurred in taking the claim. The level of the success fee is the main concern, with defamation lawyers more often than not claiming the full 100% uplift, which doubles their usual fees. If a claimant obtains ‘after the event’ insurance (ie, against the cost of losing and having to pay the other side’s costs), an unsuccessful defendant will also have to pay a substantial insurance premium on top of the success fee.

The problem that is currently plaguing defamation cases of late is that of celebrities using the CFA system to prevent the media from publishing anything controversial or critical about them, thus stifling freedom of expression. Moreover, a small publisher could well find itself out of business if it loses a CFA-funded case.

There are so many different versions of the idiom. Try, “Expect the worst. Hope for the best.” or “Expect the worst and you’ll never be disappointed.” or “Prepare for the worst. Plan for the best.” You get the idea, particularly when it comes to dealing with your insurance company. It’s a strange reality but, no matter where you go, insurance companies always seem to have a reputation that, as a policy holder making a claim, you will end up like something the cat dragged in. The problem we all face is the profit motive. Although it would be great if every large corporation was full of the milk of human kindness, the directors and executives are driven by the desire for more wealth. They seize every opportunity to take the extra dollar for giving us less. In the case of insurance, the companies are rather like the big bad wolf that blows your house down rather than paying to repair the leaking roof. So you always have to plan on the basis you will be in for a fight if you make a claim. That means opening and keeping an up-to-date file on everything you say to the insurer about the policy and any claims you might make. The more comprehensive your records the better. If you must speak to a representative of the company, whether in the flesh or on the phone, get a name and always write a letter confirming what was said and what, if anything, was agreed. Yes, it will take up a few minutes of your time. But you should always be able to produce contemporaneous records – a day-by-day record of representations, promises and action.

You are rolling your eyes. All that hassle. Why bother? Let’s take Massachusetts as an example. Five of the largest companies insuring vehicles all managed to make the same data entry mistake. There is this wonderful “place” called the Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange (CLUE). All companies pool information about the drivers they insure. One of the more important pieces of data is whether the driver is “at fault” in a traffic accident. If you are found the “guilty” party, this justifies loading your premium with an increase. What happened in this US state was the five insurers routinely recorded anyone making a claim as being “at fault”. There was no investigation, no court case with a judge deciding one party was at fault. The insurers simply wanted to justify increasing the premiums so assumed fault from the fact of the claim. Fortunately, the people of Massachusetts are well organized. They had a paper trail for every claim and, when they reported the behavior of the insurers to the State Attorney General, this resulted in fines paid by the companies and a recalculation of all the premiums with a full refund to everyone affected.

Sadly, auto insurance is a bear pit and, if you are going to come within range of the bear, you had better be prepared with full information. It does not matter whether you are on cheap auto insurance, usually the mandatory liability minimum, or a comprehensive/collision policy with all the bells and whistles, document every aspect of your relationship with the insurer and every detail of any claim you make. If anything goes wrong, every state has a Department or Office of Insurance. Make a formal complaint if you think you are losing out. If you learn of others, complain to the State Attorney General. Failure to fight means the companies will trample on your rights.
